Freshmen ISS classes – all sections
As I mentioned in class today, I will often post my power points so that you have the notes ahead of time. Download the Government Basics Notes powerpoint for Thursday’s class.
To save paper & ink, follow these steps:

So as to save your parents/schools ink, please remove all of the background features – just go to Format – Slide Design – and choose the “default design, which is a white background.

Click the print button under the File tab – a text box will appear

Select the “Slides” you need (example 2-15;17;19) or select “All” – keep in mind you may not need all of them all of the time – ask teacher if unsure

Go down to “Print what” and select “Handouts”

If you want to allow space for notes, change the “slides per page” to 3 instead of 6. This will give you lines to the right of each slide. Keep in mind the more slides you print per page (9 is the largest), the more difficult they are to read. You may also choose to do the “Outline View” if there are no important images in the powerpoint.

Again, to save ink (color ink is more expensive than black) be sure you have removed background designs to plain white and in the Print text box select “Black and white” for your “Color/Greyscale” selection.
