1. Complete the questions on the history & culture of the Former Soveit Republics that we were unable to do in class on Friday. 
2. Complete the timelines on pages 2 & 3 of the note packet using the information in the FSR reading.  Note: all timeline entries should match up with dashes and dates on the right hand side of the timeline.

ISS Classes:

1. Read Chapter 15 Sections 1-3 and do the vocabulary words for sections 2 & 3.
2. Read Russia and the Former Soviet Republics in Transition (hand out) and complete pages 1-3 of the FSR note packet; page 1 – questions from the reading, page 2 – general overview timeline, page 3 Soviet Era timeline.  Phase 5 (sections A, D, F) – Due 3/24  Tuesday        Phase 3 – Due Monday 3/30                                                                     
3. Download the Fall of the Soviet Union power point

The next map quiz will only contain 15 countries, six of which you learned in the Europe Unit.  The map quiz will be on the following days:                          Phase 5 – Wed 3/18          Phase 3 – Tues 3/24

It is hard to find online map quizzes for this unit, but I do have power points made by a previous student that does countries and one that does capitals for Russia & the FSR.  Click on the links to use them.

Read about Russia & the Former Soviet Republic’s physical geography – chapter 14 sections 1 & 2 and the handout ”An Imense Landmass” ; complete the 18 questions given out in class.

The ISS phase 3 Europe Test has been postponed until next Wednesday 3/18.  Bring book and notes on the EU to class Friday 3/13. 

All ISS Classes are to read section one of Chapter 13.  This information will be on next week’s Europe Test.  Also included on the test will be chapters 11 & 12 as well as the information on the Balkan war/genocide and the European Union.
